Retraced Wins German Sustainability Award 2020 for Top Startup in Digitalization

[Düsseldorf, NRW] - Retraced GmbH (“retraced”) has won the German Sustainability Award 2020 (Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis) as the Top Startup in Germany for the special prize category: “Digitalization”. The award was presented at the Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis 12th annual ceremony, at the MARITIM Hotel Düsseldorf, November 21 - 22, 2019.

The Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis (also known as National German Sustainability Award) was established in 2008 to encourage the acceptance of social and ecological responsibility and to identify role models in this area. The awards are presented to cities, companies and individuals promoting the idea of a sustainable society. The award is endorsed by the German Federal Government, local and business associations as well as numerous NGOs, among them UNESCO and UNICEF.

Retraced’s COO/CMO and co-founder, Philipp Mayer, was thrilled with the result, and was excited about the startups plans to achieve greater impact through innovation in 2020:

Retraced was founded in late 2018, and registered in March 2019, by co-founders, Lukas Pünder, Philipp Mayer, and Peter Merkert. The company was nominated for this year’s award along with other innovative German Startups: perto GmbH, Tomorrow, node.energy GmbH
