Blockchain in the Textile Industry

Our Cofounder and CTO Peter Merkert gave Blockchainwelt an expert interview on the topic of blockchain in the textile industry and how strongly the need for sustainability is increasing. The German interview gives insights into the application of trending technology for fashion companies and how it is used to ensure verified data entries.

Blockchain is the basis of our platform and ensures the truthfulness of the data entered. Our mission is to bring transparency to the fashion world. In order for people to believe this information we offer, it is important that our users - whether brand, supplier or end consumer - have a certain basic understanding of the innovative technology, and how blockchain can be used in the textile industry. That's why we were so excited about the opportunity to chat with Blockchainwelt, a forum that dedicates themselves completely to blockchain, to explaining the technology in detail, and all its possible application areas in the real world. Their goal is to offer all interested parties an entrance into the conditions, chances and possibilities of the blockchain. Our goal at retraced is to help all interested stakeholders who want to plan a part in making the textile industry a better, more sustainable, and more responsible place. Blockchain helps us offer that possibility.
